An Solas Collar

"An Solas" is Scottish Gaelic for "The Light".

This collection was created in memory of my mum, Helen. My best friend, hero and the person who shaped me in every way to who I am today, and also the biggest dog lover there ever was.

My mum was cared for by the Highland Hospice in the final months of her life. The kindness, dignity and compassion shown to both her and myself is something I'll never forget and I will be forever grateful for.

Five years on, this collection is my way of saying thank you.

Highland Hospice provides care, support and advice to people in the Highlands who are living with terminal illness, approaching end of life or experiencing bereavement.

Their support did not end with the care they so graciously gave my mum, it was so eloquently followed by support from Crocus, their bereavement support for young people, plus support from initiatives such as Sharing Space. Their work is truly life changing.

Every An Solas collar and lead sold makes a donation to the Highland Hospice, helping them to continue to provide exceptional care and support to families across the Highlands.

Our collars are made using genuine Biothane®, offering strength and reliability. Built to handle mud, water, sand and whatever your dog gets up to.

Each collar is bespoke, made to order and carefully packaged, before arriving at your door.

Simply wipe or rinse clean with water. No washing machine required. Air dry before use.

Measure your dog's neck with a soft measuring tape. The collar should fit snugly but allow room for 2 fingers to slip underneath for comfort.

For widths, we recommend our 19mm collars for small to medium dogs, including spaniels, terriers, small collies and similar breeds.

Our 25mm collars are ideal for medium to large dogs, including labradors, golden retrievers, collies, pointers and similar breeds.
